It enables sequential read and write speeds of up to 3,500 or 3,000 MB/s¹ and is thus up to 6 times faster than a Samsung SATA SSD.² you get plenty of power for graphics-intensive games or large files. The SSD 980 offers you a high potential of NVMe performance with low power consumption. For constant performance, you can also rely on a stable temperature level, which is regulated by a nickel coating, a heat spreader and the Dynamic Thermal Guard technology. This is made possible by specially developed technologies such as the modern controller, V-NAND flash memory as well as the latest firmware. Another performance tip: Samsung Magician software lets you get a lot out of your SSD 980 thanks to various functions, such as full power mode.
